I came to this work through the environments themselves, not through a single discipline within them

Over the course of my career, I have worked alongside architects, builders, landscape architects, interior designers, estate managers, and the families who engage them. What I observed, again and again, was that the quality of the individual disciplines was rarely the problem. The problem was structural: no one was responsible for the whole.

I began taking on that responsibility informally — filling the gap between parties, translating between technical and human concerns, holding the standard when the process threatened to erode it. In time, that became the work itself.

What I offer is not a methodology or a proprietary process. It is judgment formed over many projects, in many geographies, at many levels of complexity. The ability to know which problems will resolve themselves and which require intervention before they compound. The temperament to hold a position when it matters and to move gracefully when it doesn't.

I am not a project manager, though I manage projects with precision. I am not a designer, though I understand design at depth. I am not an operator, though I build operational systems that endure. I am the person who holds all of that together — in service of the family, and in service of the environment they are building or stewarding.

I work with very few clients at a time, by design and by necessity. The work cannot be done otherwise.
