Born and raised in St. Louis Missouri my career began in one discipline - landscape design. Project by project and relationship by relationship the work pulled me outward. Twenty-five years later I operate entirely at the intersection — between the architect and the builder, the builder and the landscape, the finished home and the family who lives in it.
Travel shaped the rest. Exposure to amazing places — the way a well-made environment holds light, absorbs sound, connects people, inspires — gave me a standard I can apply to every engagement. I have seen what is possible when every discipline is working together. That is the standard I hold my clients projects to.
What I offer is not a methodology or a specific process. It is judgment formed over many projects, in many geographies, at many levels of complexity. The ability to know which problems will resolve themselves and which require intervention before they become an issue. The ability to hold a position when it matters — without apology, even when it is uncomfortable.
I am not a project manager, though I manage projects with precision. I am not a designer, though I understand design at depth. I am not an operator, though I build operational systems that last. I am the person who holds all of that together — in service of the family, and in service of the environment they are building or overseeing.
I work with very few clients at a time, by design and by necessity. The work cannot be done otherwise.
The nature of this work requires complete confidentiality. I do not discuss clients, reference properties, or share information about engagements — past or present — without explicit permission.
